Mathematics with Technology Program
Faculty and students from Clarkson University work together with local teachers of mathematics and science in grades 3 – 8. This program is funded by New York State in the No Child Left Behind program Title IID for “enhancing education with technology. The primary goal of our program is to improve mathematics education in Franklin County by using technology and real-world mathematics applications.
Week-long summer institutes and ongoing support with students visiting classrooms to work with teachers on incorporating more applications and problem-based learning, using computer technology, into their mathematics curriculum at all grade levels. The program, now in its third year, is coordinated through the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES.
