Biography

Melissa King received her B.S. degree in Chemistry at Central Connecticut State University in 2014. She then pursued her graduate studies at Wesleyan University under the guidance of Prof. Michelle L. Personick. After receiving her PhD degree in October of 2019, Melissa joined Prof. Michael Ross’s group at the University of Massachusetts for postdoctoral research. Melissa joined the faculty of Clarkson University as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biomolecular Science in 2022 and her research interests are in the development of optically active nanomaterials for environmental application such as remediation and recycling of industrial byproducts.

Education Background

Chemistry Postdoctoral Scholar - 2019 University of Massachusetts, Lowell
Chemistry PhD - 2019 Wesleyan University
Chemistry BS - 2014 Central Connecticut State University

Courses Taught
