Two Clarkson Students Win Scholarships from the New York State Chapter of HIMSS
The New York State Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society has awarded two Clarkson graduate students scholarships. Allyson Wieser and Ryan Yellott each received $2,500 toward their education.
The 2024 HIMSS NYS Chapter Education Scholarship Program is a one-year scholarship for students currently studying in New York State, whether in undergraduate or graduate programs, and pursuing careers in Healthcare Information Technology and Management Systems. If chosen to receive a scholarship award, winners must serve on a committee for no less than one year for the HIMSS NYS Chapter and actively participate in its content and support of the HIMSS mission.
Wieser of Albany, N.Y., is a Health Leader Fellow in the combined Healthcare MBA and MS in Healthcare Data Analytics program. Yellott of Willsboro, N.Y., is also in the combined Healthcare MBA and MS in Healthcare Data Analytics program. He will be serving on the HIMSS NYS Chapter IT Task Force for his service commitment.
“The NYS Chapter has never awarded these scholarships to Clarkson students in the 32 years of their existence. This is a fantastic testament to their intellectual prowess in the fields of Healthcare Management and Healthcare Data Analytics. We are so proud of these students for their hard work and dedication,” said Associate Professor of Management Amber Stephenson, Director of Healthcare Management Programs in the Reh School of Business at Clarkson.
