Jeremiah J. Remus has been appointed assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Clarkson University. He begins teaching this fall.
Remus received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering from the University of Idaho, and his master of science and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Duke University.
Before coming to Clarkson, Remus was a graduate research assistant, a research associate and an assistant research professor at Duke and was a consultant at Signal Innovations Group in Durham, N.C.
His research interests include statistical signal processing, modeling and pattern recognition; sensor data processing for unexploded ordnance and landmine detection; and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy processing for identification of geomaterials.
Remus coauthored six articles in refereed journals and participated in several refereed conference proceedings. He participated in two invited conference presentations and several conference abstracts and presentations. He is a member of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology and the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society.
