Princeton Review: Clarkson University One of Nation's Best Colleges & Best Northeastern Colleges
Clarkson University has again been named one of the country's best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review.
The company features Clarkson in the new 2014 edition of its guidebook "The Best 378 Colleges." Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges and four colleges outside of the U.S. are profiled in the book.
Clarkson has also been named one of the Best Northeastern Colleges by Princeton Review, which identified some of the colleges and universities that they consider "academically outstanding and well worth consideration in your college search."
In its profile on Clarkson, The Princeton Review quotes extensively from Clarkson students the company surveyed for the book, who say, among other quotes, “Clarkson…wants you to succeed and has many resources to help you.” And It “places a high importance on…preparing [students] to be a professionals” and has a “wonderful job-placement rate.”
The publication says that ultimately, most students find that “Clarkson University is a great environment that helps students develop hands-on experience that is greatly valued in any industry.”
"Clarkson University offers outstanding academics, which is the primary criteria for our choice of schools for the book," said Robert Franek, Princeton Review's senior and publisher and author of "The Best 378 Colleges."
This spring, the Princeton Review also named Clarkson University one of the most environmentally responsible colleges in the United States and Canada through inclusion its “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges: 2013 Edition."
Clarkson is consistently among the schools ranked well in both the Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report’s annual issue of “Best Colleges," where Clarkson is listed as a tier one national university. U.S. News also ranks Clarkson as #1 in the nation for graduates with the most internship experience, and its online graduate business programs and supply chain management program in the nation's top-15.
In July, Clarkson was also ranked in the top-10 New York state colleges and universities that provide the highest return on investment (ROI) by AffordableCollegesOnline.org.
Clarkson University launches leaders into the global economy. One in five alumni already leads as a CEO, VP or equivalent senior executive of a company. Located just outside the Adirondack Park in Potsdam, N.Y., Clarkson is a nationally recognized research university for undergraduates with select graduate programs in signature areas of academic excellence directed toward the world’s pressing issues. Through 50 rigorous programs of study in engineering, business, arts, sciences and health sciences, the entire learning-living community spans boundaries across disciplines, nations and cultures to build powers of observation, challenge the status quo, and connect discovery and engineering innovation with enterprise.
