Clarkson University Faculty & Staff Honored for Research Funding

Several Clarkson University faculty and staff members were recently inducted into the school’s "Million Dollar Club" for the significant amounts of external funding that their investigations and research activities have garnered.Million 2009

At an October 30 reception, the University president, provost, faculty and staff honored Civil & Environmental Engineering Prof. Narayanan Neithalath, Mathematics & Computer Science Prof. Erik M. Bollt, Chemistry & Biomolecular Science Prof. Devon A. Shipp, Director of CSTEP & McNair Marjorie B. Warden, Mathematics & Computer Science Prof. Scott R. Fulton, and Civil & Environmental Engineering Prof. Andrea R. Ferro.

Clarkson enjoys an international reputation for excellence in research and innovation. Its world-renowned scholar-researchers tackle some of the toughest challenges facing the global community today in energy, technology, engineering, business, medicine and the environment.

Areas of prominent research focus at Clarkson include advanced materials, biotechnology, entrepreneurship, the environment and energy, and global supply chain management.

During the fiscal year 2008-2009, Clarkson researchers brought in more than $18 million in external funding, $5 million more than the previous year.
