Katherine Wears Named Associate Dean of Clarkson University School of Business

Katherine H. Wears has been named associate dean of the Clarkson University School of Business, effective July 1. Wears will take over for Michael E. Wasserman, who will return to teaching full time.
She has been a recipient of the Clarkson Distinguished Teaching Award, the Faculty Recognition Award from the Clarkson Dormitory Council, and the Phalanx Commendable Service Award, and has been a member of the Academic Integrity Committee. Wears is a recipient of the Renewal House Award for her contribution to the needs of victims of domestic violence, and has been the St. Lawrence County Bar Association Mock Trial Attorney Coach for Ogdensburg Free Academy, since 1997.
She received her bachelor of arts degree from Le Moyne College in 1975 and her juris doctorate degree from Albany Law School bin 1978. She was admitted to the New York State bar in 1979, and in 1986, was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Wears resides in Ogdensburg with her husband, James. They have four children: Katherine, Thomas, Daniel, and Julia.
