Clarkson University Honors David Tromp with Charles S. Ehrlich Award

Tromp was honored with the award for his dedication and outstanding effort in assisting Clarkson's Office of Admission with the recruitment of highly qualified prospective students. He received the award during Clarkson's annual alumni reunion earlier this month in Potsdam.
The Charles S. Ehrlich Alumni Admission Award was created in honor of 1956 alumnus and trustee emeritus Charles S. Ehrlich of Menands, N.Y. Ehrlich, a generous supporter of his alma mater, continues to serve as a key link between Clarkson alumni and admission recruitment activities.
Tromp received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering with distinction from Clarkson University in 1997.
Tromp has actively served the University as an alumni admission volunteer and in 2001 received the Gordon C. "Stub" Baker '27 Chapter Service Citation in recognition of his tireless efforts on behalf of his alma mater. Tromp has also been involved with the Clarkson Alumni Council, serving as an officer from 1999-2003. Since 1999, he has organized the annual satellite hockey telecast in his region. In 2004, he became the Capital District chapter president, hosting numerous post-game hockey events and send-off picnics, as well as holiday events, and a golf tournament in 2006.
