North Country Matters Begins New Season
Clarkson University's cable television show, "North Country Matters," premiers for a fourth season at 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 10 on Time Warner Cable, Channel 30 (WCKN). The opening program will feature Clarkson's Van Sickle Convocation. This year's speaker was Eric Rabkin, professor of English and Literature at the University of Michigan. The title of Rabkin's presentation was "Science Fiction: The Literature of the Technological Imagination."
These two programs will be re-aired on WCKN, Channel 30 at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 12 and Sunday, October 15.
Future North Country Matters programs airing this fall will include a "Clarkson Conversation" with Nobel Laureate, Sir Harold Kroto, The Massena Chamber of Commerce Candidates debates, and a video road trip tour of "Green Buildings" in the North Country.
