Penski Inc. Contributes to Scholarship Fund

Penski Inc. has once again affirmed its commitment to helping area students achieve a college education by contributing to the North Country Friends Clarkson Scholarship Fund. Started in the 1980s, the fund provides financial assistance to deserving students hoping to attend Clarkson University.Joseph McDonough

"Funding for the North Country Friends Clarkson Scholarship comes from area residents and businesses," says Joseph McDonough, associate director of the Clarkson Fund. "These individuals and companies are helping ensure that students with the ability and desire to attend Clarkson are not blocked by financial obstacles."

North Country Friends Clarkson Scholarship began in the 1980s. The annual goal of the scholarship fund is $50,000. Donors to the fund realize they are also making a sound investment in the community because many of these high-ability students will remain in Northern New York and will become civic and business leaders upon graduation.

Prospective first-year students who wish to be considered for a North Country Friends Clarkson Scholarship or other forms of Clarkson aid must file a completed application for admission to the University by March 1.
