WCKN To Televise Village Of Potsdam Candidate Forum
A non-partisan forum for the Village of Potsdam candidates for mayor and trustee is being co-sponsored by North Country Matters, a public affairs program produced by the Communication & Media Department at Clarkson University, and the St. Lawrence County Branch, American Association of University Women (AAUW).
Dan Dullea, senior communication specialist with Clarkson’s Center for Excellence in Communication, will moderate the forum. Each candidate will respond to questions asked by a panel of local news reporters from WSNN/WPDM Radio, the Courier Observer, Watertown Daily Times, and WWNY TV.
Questions from the studio audience, submitted in writing and screened for clarity, duplication, and general relevance, will be asked by Victoria Levitt, the program vice president for the St. Lawrence Branch of AAUW, in rotation with the news media.
Seating is available for 85 people in the Health Sciences Amphitheater. Up to 10 tickets will be allotted to each candidate. The remaining tickets will be available free-of-charge to the general public. Contact Dan Dullea to request tickets (268-6428 firstname.lastname@example.org ).
The forum will air on WCKN, Clarkson’s Public Access TV Station (Channel 30) several times prior to Election Day, November 8. Additional air times are as follows: Thursday, October 27, at 8 p.m.; Friday, October 28, at 2 p.m.; Saturday, October 29, at 5 p.m.; and Sunday, October 30, at 2 and 8 p.m.
