North Country Matters New Season To Premiere On Local Cable Wednesday, November 17

This season’s first regular episode of North Country Matters will air live on Wednesday night,  November 17 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00p.m. on Potsdam Time-Warner Cable television station WCKN channel 30.  North Country matters is a video journal of ideas and visions of St. Lawrence County.

This season’s first episode will feature an in-depth look at the Northern Adirondack Trading Cooperative.  Host Dan Dullea will be speaking with Ruby Moore, Business Development Officer of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, about the partnership that the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce has initiated between North Country businesses, Clarkson University and Ebay.

The show will also include a number of other stories. One segment will take a look at the Potsdam Rescue Squad and the tradition of Clarkson student participation as volunteers in this vital community service.  Another feature will be about the First Robotics competition. In this annual national competition, Clarkson Students work with local high school students to design & build remote control robots.  They then compete against other schools regionally and nationally to determine which robot can best accomplish a series of work tasks. Finally there will also be a short look at rock climbing and a music segment featuring singer songwriter Jason Capron.
