New Director Appointed For Clarkson's Engineering & Global Operations Management Program
Marsh has served as an adjunct instructor at Clarkson and joined the University as a full-time employee in May, 2004. He has instructed undergraduate and graduate courses in quality management and process control at the University.
Farzad Mahmoodi has done an absolutely superb job of creating a vision and direction for the EGOM program, said Tim Sugrue, dean of Clarkson's School of Business. "Steve is an obvious choice to succeed him in this critical position. He possesses excellent managerial skills, and draws on a vast background of engineering, technical and business experience."
The EGOM master of science program for working professionals is designed to draw on the strengths and resources of Clarkson's Schools of Business, Engineering, and Arts & Sciences. Developed in partnership with industry, the program is ideal for engineers and technical managers who need to be informed of the most recent developments in technology and management. The program's on-campus and Web-based courses promote collaborative learning, problem solving, teamwork, leadership skills, and global vision.
Prior to joining Clarkson, Marsh served in manufacturing for 14 years in successively responsible engineering roles. "He brings to Clarkson real world engineering experience in the medical device, electronics, telecommunications and aluminum industries," added Sugrue. Most recently, Marsh was senior quality engineer with Alcoa Global Cold Finished Products in Massena, NY.
