World In Potsdam Diversity Festival Celebrates 10th Anniversary
The tradition of interactive learning and appreciating all that makes people unique will continue on Nov. 8, 2003, as SUNY Potsdam hosts the 10th annual World in Potsdam Diversity Festival.
Each year, the festival brings community members together for an all-day celebration of the cultures and peoples from around the world that highlights diversity, while at the same time reinforcing global unity.
Live musical and dance performances, storytelling, hands-on activities, lively demonstrations, exhibits and exotic foods will be featured as part of this year’s activities. All festival events are free and open to the public.
The festival planning committee is looking for community volunteers to help organize the event. The committee’s next meeting will be March 11, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. in the SUNY Potsdam Barrington Student Union, Room 203. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend.
For more information or to volunteer to serve on the planning committee, contact Diana Fisher, World in Potsdam Diversity Festival Chair, at (315) 267-2745 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.worldinpotsdam.org.
The World in Potsdam Diversity Festival has been co-sponsored by the Village of Potsdam, Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam and the Sweetgrass Foundation has been a major contributor.
