Four To Address Clarkson University Graduates Sunday
Clarkson University students will be granted bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at commencement ceremonies this Sunday, May 12. The weekend will also be marked by the commissioning of United States Army and Air Force officers on Saturday, May 11.
Receiving honorary degrees and addressing the students will be:
Retired Ehrlich Auto Parts Chairman and University Trustee Charles S. Ehrlich
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology President Samuel F. Hulbert, a native of Adams Center, N.Y.
Kathie L. Olsen, President Bush's nominee for the associate director of the Office of Science and Technology in the Executive Office of the President (prior to this she served as the chief scientist at NASA)
Director of the Clarkson University International Center for Gravity Materials Science and Applications Liya L. Regel.
During the ceremony, two faculty members will be honored with the John W. Graham Jr. Faculty Research Award and the Clarkson University Distinguished Teaching Award.
Also, the Levinus Clarkson Award and the Frederica Clarkson Award will be bestowed upon two students who have demonstrated the best combination of scholarship and promise of outstanding professional achievement.
