Clarkson To Offer Global Supply Chain Management Seminar
Clarkson University will offer an executive seminar on global supply chain management August 6-9. The intensive four-day seminar will introduce strategies to accelerate corporate productivity.
The seminar is designed for middle- and high-level managers and consultants who would like to take advantage of supply chain integration to reduce cycle time, improve customer service and reduce variations in their operations.
“Effective global supply chain management is necessary for corporate success,” said Timothy Sugrue, dean of the School of Business. “The state-of-the-art concepts and practical strategies presented in this seminar will give executives and managers the tools to enhance and streamline business operations.”
Participants at last year’s seminar included individuals from such corporate heavyweights as Accenture, Bank of America, Carrier Corporation, Corning Inc., Dell Computer Corporation, Delta Air Lines, General Electric, General Motors Powertrain, Grainger Inc., ITT Industries/Goulds Pumps and Xerox Corporation.
“Previous participants have rated the usefulness of the seminar content and their learning experience as excellent,” said Farzad Mahmoodi, professor of operations management and director of the Center for Global Competitiveness.
Topics will include inventory and materials management, supply chain coordination, channels management, logistics strategies, information technology, strategic partnerships and supply chain integration. Attendees will participate in several team and hands-on activities that reinforce key concepts. They will also have numerous opportunities to network with other industry professionals and the faculty.
The $2,700 seminar fee includes tuition, course materials, all meals, breaks and receptions. The seminar is limited to 40 participants.
