Free Performance Of New Shanghai Circus At Clarkson University February 4

The public is invited to a free performance of the New Shanghai Circus on Monday, February 4. The performance is part of the "World in Potsdam" Diversity Festival. The show begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in Clarkson University's downtown Snell Hall Auditorium.

Tickets are not necessary, but seating is limited to 540. Group reservations are no longer being accepted.

The New Shanghai Circus is an award-winning, highly acclaimed troupe of Chinese acrobats. It is recognized worldwide as one of the finest acrobatic troupes performing today. The rigorously trained performers will amaze circus goers with their gravity-defying balancing acts. Ordinary household items such as plates, chairs, wine glasses and bowls are sent spinning, flying or stacked precariously on the hands (or feet!) of the performers.

The World in Potsdam Diversity Festival is an annual community celebration featuring the music, dance, food and crafts of the people and cultures around the world. The Festival will be held in Clarkson University's Cheel Campus Center from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 27. The Village of Potsdam, Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam are festival cosponsors. The Sweetgrass Foundation and KeyBank are major contributors toward the event.
