Clarkson's Johnson Appointed To Global Action Team
Kathryn B. Johnson, executive director of Clarkson University’s Career & Professional Development Center, was recently appointed to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Global Action Team. NACE has formed the Global Initiative Action Team to shift the organization from a national to an international focus. The team is comprised of leaders in the profession of college relations and recruiting from Andersen Consulting, Microsoft, Prudential, and IBM, as well as other career center directors from UCLA, Cal State Fullerton, and Indiana University.
NACE is the nation’s leading source of information on employment and recruiting practices and trends for the college market. Johnson was chosen for the team because of her international expertise, her extensive experience with multinational hiring organizations, and her track record for effecting change.
“By being part of this team, I will be working with other nationally respected leaders in the international arena, which will bring greater visibility and exposure to the Clarkson campus and our students,” says Johnson.
Johnson has served as president of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Colleges and Employers; served on three national task force/action teams for the National Association of Colleges & Employers; was awarded “Best Speaker” by the American Society of Engineering Education; and has consulted with numerous corporations in the U.S. as well as Universities abroad.
