Clarkson Mathematics Professor Elected To Board Of Research Interest Group

Prof. Abdul J. Jerri of Clarkson University's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science has just returned from the International Conference on Sampling Theory and Applications in Loen, Norway, where he presented two research papers.

Prof. Jerri has been a senior member of the technical and scientific committee, and this year was elected to the conference's five-member board, which includes members from Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Portugal and the United States. The next conference will be held in Orlando, Fla.

Among this year's attendees, Prof. Jerri has worked the longest, since 1965, with important contributions to the field. This won him the dedication of the proceedings of the previous conference, in Aveiro, Portugal, to his birthday "for dedicating 30 years of his life to the sampling theory and applications.
