Lisa Niles Of Glens Falls Receives Award From Clarkson University Alumni Association

Why: As part of ceremonies honoring young alumni who have demonstrated outstanding loyalty to Clarkson and the Alumni Association and have used their Clarkson experience to make a notable contribution to their careers.
Lisa G. Niles graduated from Clarkson in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance. Following graduation, she began a 20-year career in the banking industry, first serving as a trust administrator with the Trustco Bank Corporation in Schenectady, N.Y. In 1981, Lisa joined Key Trust Company in Albany, serving as vice president and portfolio manager. She joined the Glens Falls National Bank and Trust in 1988 and today serves as vice president and senior investment officer. In 1981, Lisa received her master of business administration-finance degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and also was awarded designation as a chartered financial analyst in 1987. Lisa serves as a board member of the New York Bankers Association Bank Fiduciary Funds.
Lisa is involved with various civic and charitable organizations. She is president of the Greater Glens Falls Senior Citizen Center, a graduate and past president of the Alumni Association for the Saratoga Leadership Program, and is past president of the Northeastern New York Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Lisa also gives generously of her time and energies to her alma mater. She has helped organize regional events and served on the board of the Alumni Association Capital District Chapter. She has also served as an alumni admission volunteer, has coordinated regional phonathons in the Capital District, and returned to campus both as a speaker for the Alumni Career Day Program and the Clarkson University School of Business. Lisa assisted with her class reunion activities by serving on both the reunion gift and reunion activity committees, and completed a five-year term on the Alumni National Executive Council, where she was a member-at-large and chaired the Nominations and Awards Committee.
