Clarkson University Air Force Rotc Receives "High Flight" Award
POTSDAM, N.Y. - Clarkson University's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Detachment 536 recently received the "High Flight" award as the top Air Force ROTC detachment in the Northeast Region for 1997.
Detachment 536 was recognized for "flawlessly completing its critical mission of training future Air Force officers despite a lack of manpower and experience shortfalls. Implementing a sophisticated strategic planning and management system, Detachment 536 overcame its resource limitations and provided consistently superior education, evaluation, and career direction to more than 100 cadet students, the largest corps size in seven years."
An awards luncheon was recently held at the Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, Ohio, to recognize the Air Force ROTC Detachment 536 for their achievement. Lt. Colonel Lennie Edwards, detachment commander, was presented with a plaque to recognize the Detachment's superior accomplishments.
