Clarkson University Hosts Regional Nonlinear Ptics Workshop February 28
POTSDAM, N.Y. -- The Institute of Nonlinear Studies of Clarkson University will host a Nonlinear Optics Workshop on Saturday, February 28, in room 176 of the Center for Advanced Materials Processing on campus.
Lectures in the workshop will focus on practical and theoretical considerations of various next-generation optical devices, such as those that could be expected to be used in optical computers, optical logical devices, and in optical fiber communication lines.
Most of the participants in this conference will be regional scientists who do scientific research at colleges, and universities within 300 miles of Potsdam. Among those presenting lectures are Physics Professor David J. Kaup and research trainee Taras I. Lakoba, both of Clarkson University and residents of Potsdam.
