Clarkson University's Internet Consulting Group Offers December Workshops
Potsdam, N.Y. — Clarkson University's Internet Consulting Group (ICG) and the University's School of Business are offering two hands‑on computer workshops during the month of December. The workshops, supported in part by funds from the U.S. Department of Education for the Improvement of Secondary Education (FIPSE), are a form of public outreach available to educators as well as to interested community members.
The workshop "What's With Windows 95" is being offered on Saturday, December 6. It is for those familiar with Windows 3.x, as well as those new to the Windows operating environment.
The workshop "Intro to Microsoft PowerPoint" will take place on Saturday, December 13. This workshop is an introduction in using presentation graphics.
Both workshops will take place from 8:30 a.m. until noon in Room 216 of Clarkson University's Snell Hall. The cost is $25.00 per person per workshop. Each hands‑on workshop has one trainee per workstation and is taught by a team of instructors. In addition, consultants are available to provide individual attention as needed. Workshop participants receive instructional materials and manuals as well as refreshments.
