Jay-Colbert Joins Clarkson Fund Office
Potsdam, N.Y. — Julia Jay-Colbert of Norwood has joined Clarkson University as the new assistant director of the Clarkson Fund. She graduated from Clarkson in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Jay-Colbert will work primarily with the student phonathon, the Senior Class Gift program, and other alumni fund-raising programs.
“We are very lucky to have Clarkson alumna Julia Jay-Colbert joining us,” said Judith Wexler, director of Annual Giving. Jay-Colbert brings to the Clarkson Fund management experience from her internship at the Walt Disney World Corporation in Orlando, Florida, and non-profit experience working with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Rhinelander Children’s Center of New York City.
Jay-Colbert says that she is looking forward to working with students, alumni, parents, and volunteers toward reaching annual fund goals for the benefit of the University.
Most recently, Jay-Colbert lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., and worked for a small marketing communications firm in mid-town Manhattan. She is happy to be returning to the North Country with her husband Frank N. Colbert, who is employed as a Federal Officer with the United States Department of Justice.
