High School/Junior High School Students Invited To Math And Science Day At Clarkson University

Potsdam, N.Y.–On Saturday, October 25, the School of Science at Clarkson University is inviting high-school and junior-high-school students and teachers to come to Clarkson for its annual Math and Science day. The aim of the program is to let students and teachers explore math and science together and gather valuable information on careers in those fields. This is an opportunity for students eager to do things like dig for DNA, explore virtual reality, discover the secret of the torque, learn about dreams and about where mirrors come from.

The day includes hands-on activities, and lab and computer demos within biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, and psychology. To round up this exciting day, there will be a problem-solving competition with cash prizes. Clarkson also offers all participants a free luncheon. This annual event is free and parents are also welcome to attend. For those who are interested in seeing more of the Clarkson campus, campus tours will also be available. Details on the entire program can be found on the World Wide Web at http://people.clarkson.edu/~fulton/msday

You can register, as an individual or as a school group, by calling the School of Science at 315-268-2342, or Clarkson University toll-free at 800-527-6577.
