Lee Taylor Of Frisco Receives The Levinus Clarkson Award

POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Lee Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Thomas Taylor of Frisco, Texas, recently received the Levinus Clarkson Award during Clarkson University's 104th Commencement Ceremony in Potsdam, N.Y. Taylor was selected for the $1,000 award by the University faculty, based on her scholarship and promise of outstanding professional achievement.

Taylor, a double major in technical communications and psychology, graduated from Clarkson with a cumulative grade-point average of 4.0. Sheis a Presidential Scholar, Phalanx Honorary Society member, and served as chair of the Student Senate's Student Life Committee.

Taylor also served on the Academic Standards Committee, the Regulations Review Committee, served as a tutor in the Clarkson University WritingCenter, a coordinator of the Clarkson Student Mediation Program and as an intern in the Surrogate Court of St. Lawrence County. In the fall, she will attend law school at the University of Texas at Austin.

Clarkson University is an independent institution located in northern New York, in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. The University has 2,670 graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in its schools of Business, Engineering, Science, and Liberal Arts, and its Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management program.
