Go Golden Knights! Join in Clarkson’s competitive tradition through 19 men's and women's varsity teams, along with numerous intramural and club sports and a wide variety of fitness classes and organized outdoor activities. More than 80 percent of Clarkson students join intramural teams competing in soccer, football, broomball, 3-on-3 basketball, 5-on-5 basketball, ice hockey, volleyball and indoor soccer. Professor Amy Zander Receives Clarkson University's John W. Graham Faculty Research Award

Clarkson University Professor Amy K. Zander of Madrid was recently awarded the John W. Graham Jr. Faculty Research Award. This $1,500 account is presented annually to "a faculty member showing promise in engineering, management, liberal studies, or scientific research."

Zander's research interests include the design and development of treatment processes in water, wastewater and air treatment; and environmental restoration technologies.

A faculty member at Clarkson since 1991, Zander received the 1996 Dow Outstanding New Faculty Award for the Middle Atlantic Section of theAmerican Society for Engineering Education, the John Chester Brigham Award for Service to the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA), the1994 NYWEA Membership Award, and Clarkson's Outstanding Adviser Award. She was recently named to the Editorial Advisory Board of the Water Environment Research journal.
