This session will review all forms of practical training that international students can engage in - however - the focus will be on 'post-completion' practical training to use after completion of your program.

GLACIER Tax Prep - software for the international student and scholar who are considered 'non-residents' for tax purposes will be able to use to file theirfederal tax return.

During this workshop we will briefly review the US Tax System - this will be a short presentation. Then you will have the remainder of time to use Glacier Tax Prep to complete your US Federal Tax return. Please bring ALL materials with you to be able to compmlete your return during this time. 

REMINDER - you need the following items BEFORE you log into GLACIER Tax Prep:

  • Passport
  • Form I-20/DS-2019 
  • Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number (only if you have been assigned one - otherwise paperwork will be completed to apply for an ITIN)
  • Forms W-2, 1042-S and/or 1099 (IF you received any)
