Academic Training is defined as "work, training, or experience related to a student's field of study." This training can be either paid or unpaid and must be approved for each employer and/or activity. A general requirement of academic training is that you are in good academic standing and you are here primarily to study rather than egnage in academic training.

    • Important note: Students attending Clarkson under the Student Exchange program for one or two semesters will only be authorized for academic training for the time period you were enrolled in a full course of study at Clarkson.
  • PhD students applying for post doctoral training may be authorized for up to 36 months of academic training - this is inclusive of all prior training authorized and completed at the doctoral or lower levels of study.
