We welcome first-year students in August with special Orientation activities designed to introduce you to the Honors community and to begin a four year program of personal growth and development.
The highlight of Orientation for first-year Honors students is an overnight trip to Camp Oswegatchie in the beautiful lakeside setting in the Adirondacks. Activities include professionally-led low-ropes and high-ropes courses and a night hike, which challenge the individual and build teamwork skills.
Honors orientation culminates with a program-wide dinner where all new students in the program have the opportunity to sign the Honors Program Roll Book and record their favorite flavor of Ben and Jerry's ice cream (it’s a tradition among others that you will learn about!).
Orientation for Honors Program first-year students will begin on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. First-year students will be required to move in on that day and mandatory Orientation activities begin that afternoon. Additional information will be sent to students via email.
