Homecoming 2009 Lodging

As most of you may already know, places to stay overnight in the Potsdam area become very limited any time there is a major university event.  In our case during Homecoming weekend, there are two!  With Homecoming and Parent's weekend both happening during the last weekend in October, we have some alternative solutions to lodging...enter "Camp Clarkson!" Camp Clarkson will be located behind the Alumni Gym area.

We have secured several options for Camp Clarkson:

Option 1: Rent an RV
There are 8 sites on campus available for reservation. If you are interested in reserving a spot on campus and renting an RV from Steve's RV Center of Potsdam, click here. The cost is $350 for the weekend.

Option 2: Bring your RV
There are 8 sites on campus available for reservation. If you are interested in reserving a spot on campus and bringing your own RV, click here.

Option 3: Pitch A Tent
There will be many spaces available if you would like to pitch a tent. This too will be located behind the Alumni Gym. You never quite know how the weather will be in Potsdam during the month of October. This option is for the true adventurer.

Restroom and Shower Facilities
A port-a-john will be available for those staying in tents or needing facilities. The Indoor Recreation Center will open at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday making the locker rooms available for showers.

Other Alternatives
There is a list of local hotels/motels and bed & breakfasts available through the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Web site.
