Who may become a member of the Annie Clarkson Society?
You are invited to join the Annie Clarkson Society if you have created an estate provision or life income gift. Your age and the size of your gift do not matter for membership. Gift plans include:
- Creating a bequest provision for Clarkson in your will or living trust
- Designating Clarkson as a beneficiary of a retirement plan
- Designating Clarkson as owner and/or beneficiary of a life insurance policy
- Establishing a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust
- Making a gift to the pooled life income fund
- Establishing a life estate with your personal residence
Society members serve as role models as they allow us to list their names on the Society roster and encourage other members of the Clarkson community to consider similar gifts. Members may share as much or as little information about their plans as they wish; all information shared is kept in strict confidence. Members may also elect to remain anonymous within the Society.
Sharing information about your gift plan allows the University to confirm that your gift may someday be used as you intend and to document your wishes for those who come after us. The value of your gift plan might also count in your upcoming anniversary reunion year fundraising and in campaign fundraising totals. (rev. 10/09)
