"As a recent alumna of Clarkson University, I look back, and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to attend Clarkson for undergraduate studies. My Clarkson education prepared me well for my current career and has provided a great educational foundation. I have made many close friendships that have Clarkson as a common theme-friendships formed while in school, and others formed through networking with Clarkson alumni in my area. I appreciate all of the doors opened to me through my Clarkson experience and hope that my participation in Alumni activities and in Alumni giving will provide an extra opportunity for other Clarkson collegiates and alumni to feel the same about their Alma mater."

Reunion Giving Program
Join Your Classmates in a Plan To Help Keep Clarkson Competitive!
What Is The Reunion Giving Program? The Reunion Giving Program is designed to bring alumni closer to their alma mater through activities and personal contacts. Volunteers select 6-12 classmates and connect with them via letters, e-mails and phone calls to ask for an annual gift to Clarkson. The program consists of Chairs and Partners.
Who Is Involved In The Reunion Giving Program?
Clarkson’s alumni volunteer their time for their alma mater. Reunion Chairs are assigned to all classes celebrating a reunion (Reunion 2009 = years ending in 4s and 9s). Chairs recruit 6-12 Partners who will make 6-12 connections with classmates in any of the above- mentioned forms. Staff members from the Clarkson Fund Office serve as Managers and give guidance, answer questions or provide resources where necessary for each class year.
What Is Required Of A Reunion Giving Chair?
Reunion Giving Chairs lead their class through reunion-year gift efforts and encourage participation and attendance back on campus in July. Chairs review and sign appeal, contact their Partners to inquire about their latest gift to the University and attend reunion weekend to report on class fund raising successes. There are a number of different awards that are presented during Reunion Weekend, which include:
Reunion Class Giving Awards:
- Roundtable Award – Most new Roundtable Members (gifts of $1,500+)
- Monetary Award – Most dollars raised
- Increased Giving Award – Greatest monetary increase from previous year
- Participation Award – Highest percentage of classmate participation
What Is Required Of A Reunion Giving Partner?
Giving Partners serve their alma mater by making 6-12 contacts to classmates and asking for a gift to Clarkson. A number of alumni find this as an opportunity to reconnect with an old friend and share a story while asking them to support the University they have grown to love and respect.
How much time is required of volunteers?
Chairs – Are asked to serve the University for a calendar year, approximately 20-30 hours.
Partners – Are asked to serve the University and voluteer approximately 10 hours.
It has been said that the most precious gift is the gift of time; we thank our Giving Chairs and Partners for theirs. If you see one of the following 2008 Reunion Giving Chairs and Partners, please extend a heartfelt thank you for their leadership efforts during a special reunion year.
