Have you ever delivered the knockout punch in the fourth round of Virtua Fighter? Or finished first in the "World Championship" of SEGA Rally or raced a stock car in Daytona USA?

If you have, chances are you have caught a glimpse of Bob Hichborn's work.

With almost 30 years of experience in the gaming industry, Hichborn '79 (ECE) is one of the founders of N-Space Inc, a game development company that has grown to employ more than 80 employees since its launch in the early 1990s. N-Space has developed products for Sony PlayStation one and two, Nintendo Game Cube, DS and Wii and is currently working on additional titles for Nintendo including Modern Combat and Star Wars: Force Unleashed.

Hichborn got his foot in the door early in his career landing his first job with General Electric's Simulations and Controls Division where he headed an initiative that advanced the commercialization of its visual technology. Under Hichborn's guidance, the company acquired a contract with SEGA of Japan, creating the visual hardware and software used in all of SEGA's arcade games in the early 1990s.

With the success at GE under his belt, Hichborn and a group of colleagues left the corporate world and founded N-Space Inc. In addition to its success in game development, the company has also been instrumental in helping several educational institutions in Florida establish their academic curriculum.
