Students taking classes outside on the Clarkson campus

Project-Based Learning

Garden Project
Now in its fourth year, the Clarkson Garden Project is a student-led team transforming the wooded area behind Moore House into an Adirondack Style Garden. Clean-up, trail building, fund raising, and traditional garden work are all part of this project.

Nature's Course
Nature's Course is a project to officially recognize approximately 200 acres behind the campus as a wildlife preserve. Current efforts include species identification studies, trail building, and construction of an observation deck.

Recycling
Clarkson Recycling is a student project designed to improve the recycling efforts of the campus. Recent efforts include assessment of recycling rates, a pilot study, and promotion of recycling information on campus.
