Clarkson offers programs in electrical engineering, software engineering and computer engineering. Our mission: to prepare students for professional careers in a wide range of disciplines and industries, and to provide a base for graduate study and for lifelong learning in new and developing specialties.

You may find yourself uncertain about the program that appeals to you most. At Clarkson, you’ll have flexibility in selecting your major. Because the freshman-year curriculum is the same for all engineering programs and the first semester of sophomore year is essentially the same for electrical, computer and software engineering, you’ll have time to evaluate your options and make a well-considered decision. Your academic adviser will work closely with you to help you choose the best possible path for your skills and your ambitions.

Regardless of which major you choose, you also can pursue ECE minors in software engineering or electrical engineering, or interdisciplinary minors in biomedical engineering or sustainable energy systems.
