Teaching Interests
Dr. Ortmeyer teaches courses in the area of power systems and equipment. He also teaches the introductory laboratory courses. He has also been involved with a series of project based honors courses on a variety of energy related topics.
Research Interests
Dr. Ortmeyer has research interests in power systems. Specific areas of research include power quality, power distribution, power electronics, and power system protection. He is currently involved in research into applications of electric power in the transportation sector.
