Technology Transfer
The mission of Technology Transfer is to move discoveries from the university to the market place in order to promote economic development and create additional research opportunities. This is accomplished through strong relationships with industrial partners and start-up companies. The Division of Research is committed to bring Researchers and Industry partners together for the benefit of the community.
Commercializing Inventions
If you are interested in pursuing the commercial potential of your research, please contact the Clarkson University Tech Transfer Office as early as possible in the invention process to learn about your responsibilities for invention disclosure and the opportunities available to you for commercially leveraging your inventions. The Tech Transfer Office can assist you with questions related to disclosing the inventions resulting from your research, intellectual property protection for the invention, the University’s Intellectual Property Policy, new business start-up and funding issues, and finding commercial partners.
