Students also participate in award-winning undergraduate research. They have investigated fuel cells, built bridges and water treatment facilities to benefit villages in India, and much more.

First-year Honors student Victoria Boyd spent the summer before her first semester working with Professor Tom Holsen to investigate the link between atmospheric deposition of mercury and contamination of aquatic plant life.

Recent graduate Rebecca Kroening worked as a student with Assistant Professor Kerop Janoyan and others to construct a prototype wildlife barrier along State Highway 68 to prevent turtles and frogs from entering the road.
