 "Personal Growth and Opportunity"

From a young age, Jesse Boucher '04 was a natural leader with a dream to start his own construction company. In May 2004, one day after graduating from Clarkson, Jesse and Justin Sitler '04 (Mechanical Engineering) began the full-time operation of Kodiak Construction, Inc. in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Kodiak Construction tackles projects that range from deck construction to the completion of a residential subdivision, and is developing into a leader in the residential construction market in the Saratoga Springs area.

Jesse serves as the president of Kodiak, vice president and board member of the Builders and Remodelers Assocation of Northern New York (BRANNY) and a member of the Board of Directors for the Saratoga Builders Association.

"I credit my success to support from family and friends and the personal growth and opportunity my four years at Clarkson provided," Jesse says. "A focused regimen of engineering and business courses gave me a strong base for my move into the business and construction arenas. Civil engineering courses taught me why we build the structures we do, while Clarkson business courses gave me a strong understanding of the financial and client relationships that are necessary in the corporate world."
