| Clarkson University Receives $955K from the Army Research Office to Continue Nanomaterials/Composites Project and Acquire a Polisher and Several 300 mm Wafer Metrology Tools for CMP Research The Army Research Office (ARO) awarded a $955K continuation contract to Clarkson University for research and development of 300 mm wafer planarization technologies with application to smart responsive nanocomposite structures. This work will be carried out at Clarkson’s Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP) by Distinguished University Professor / CAMP Director S.V. CAMP Professors Discuss Their Fuel Cell Research with GM Engineers in Honeoye Falls, NY On May 16 th, 2007, several professors from CAMP/Clarkson University visited the GM Fuel Cell Research Center in Honeoye Falls, NY and presented their recent research results in the area of Fuel Cells. The CAMP team, headed by Distinguished University Professor and Director of CAMP S.V. Babu, included Deputy Director of CAMP Jack Prendergast, Professors Dipankar Roy, Raghunathan Rengaswamy, Ian Suni and Associate Dean of Engineering Susan Powers. Their host was Dr.Mark Mathias, Manager of Material Development Fuel Cell Activities at this GM facility. The group from CAMP described their research in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, new materials and design architecture, and the role of interns in furthering University/industry collaboration. |
