ACS Colloid and Surface Science
Symposium
NANOPARTICLES,
COLLOIDS, AND SURFACES IN ADVANCED CATALYTIC MATERIALS
We
encourage submission of research papers in the areas of Surface Science
and Catalysis. Papers can be experimental or theoretical in nature.
We will emphasize in particular the areas of new materials and synthetic
methods applied to catalysts, zeolites, supported and model catalysts,
surface reaction mechanisms, and the combination of high-throughput
experimentation with first principles as a method to develop new materials.

Symposium
in Honor of Professor Calvin H. Bartholomew
|
|
This symposium
will honor the life achievements of Calvin H. Bartholomew, Professor
of Chemical Engineering, Brigham Young University. He has been
working for over 35 years in the areas of heterogeneous catalysis
and combustion. He has made significant contributions in kinetics,
adsorption, catalyst deactivation and spectroscopy as applied
to conversion of synthesis gas, NOx abatement, automotive emissions
control, coal char catalysis and coal methane production.
