Our Students Get Hired Because of What They Study.
At Clarkson, you will experience education the way business works. You'll hit the ground running at graduation -- and perhaps sooner as many of our students launch a business during their four-years on campus. In every class we offer, we go beyond teaching the fundamentals of the core discipline and let you experience first hand how it integrates across a spectrum of business issues and challenges. For example, in a marketing course, you can be immersed in economics, finance, operations and accounting, too.
Freshmen enrolled in the business program work in small groups to develop a business concept, formulate a business plan, make a pitch to live investors, run and sometimes close a business between two semesters. From there, you'll choose one of four integrated academic majors designed in consultation with employers and entrepreneurs to give you the global, strategic perspectives you need to be succesful in today's global economy. Depending upon how your career goals and interests emerge, you can pursue a minor, a second major, pre-professional tracks like law or medicine, or simply take a wide breadth of courses across the institution to broaden your horizons.
