In this Section

The On Campus Component will be held at Clarkson University's BH Snell Hall Building this August 25-26, 2014.

Online MBA students will meet at a mutual determined location to complete a "residence" requirement course in Leadership Development. The purpose of these courses is to help students understand principles and processes of effective leadership while giving them an opportunity to work with faculty and their fellow classmates face-to-face.

During the first year, students will take Leadership Development I(0S 602): Foundations of Leadership and Organizational Behavior. The course uses text-based and video business cases and an intensive two-day business simulation to uncover students' skills and to help them practice working as a team. Topics covered in the course will focus on aspects of interpersonal behavior, leadership, teamwork, conflict management, and power and influence.

Following Leadership Development I, students will take Leadership Development II(0S 603): Leadership and Organizational Culture. This course will build upon the lessons learned in OS 602 and other MBA classes and allow students to further develop their leadership skills within an organizational setting. Topics covered in the course will focus on aspects of firm-level behavior, including power and influence, culture, and organizational congruence.
