MBA Student Ambassadors

The culture of the Clarkson Graduate Business Program is characterized by a strong sense of community in which every MBA student plays a critical role. The MBA Ambassador program was developed to introduce you to some of our graduate business students. Our Ambassadors each year share their perspectives regarding admission, classes, faculty and life as a graduate business student.

Below is a brief biography, including the educational background of our current Class of 2010 Ambassadors:

Alex Giasson  Alexander Giasson
Undergraduate School and Major: Clarkson University, BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Hometown: Essex Junction, VT

MBA Track/Concentration: Innovation and New Venture Management

Career Goals:
Initially I would like to start out in sales for a company that sells building energy control systems. Eventually I have aspirations of starting my own business, possibly in consulting, assisting small start-ups in the field of green building systems.

Why I chose Clarkson: Since I did my undergraduate work at Clarkson, I was very comfortable with the school. However, since I was a full engineering major, I felt that joining the MBA program would still allow me to step outside my comfort zone and try something new. By the end of my engineering curriculum, I realized that I wanted to go towards a management or sales role. By coupling an MBA with my technical background, I felt that I would be far more marketable in the roles of sales and management.
