There are no minimum GPA requirements; however successful applicants will have acheived a record distinctly above average.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT TRANSCRIPTS
Q: I attended Clarkson University as an undergraduate - do I have to request an official transcript for my application?
A: No - your graduate coordinator will obtain a copy of your transcript from PeopleSoft. If you attended any other undergraduate universities, you only need to provide official transcripts for these universities if you have not done so as an undergraduate.
Q: The foreign university I attended only provides one official transcript per student - can I use a copy of this?
A: On occasion a university will only provide one copy of the official transcript directly to the student. In these rare cases, we ask that the student bring their original transcript when they come to Clarkson, and your graduate coordinator will make an official copy of the original document for your file.
Q: Do I have to have my international transcript evaluated by an accredited evaluation organization?
A: Currently, Clarkson does not require that you submit an official transcript evaluation from an accredited organization (such as WES for example). However, these are extremely beneficial in helping the committee evaluate your application file, and you may wish to consider this.
Q: I received a three-year undergraduate degree at a foreign university - can I be considered for graduate study?
A: Clarkson currently recognizes the foreign three-year degree at the bachelors level as an equivalent to the four-year bachelors degree in American institutions. Students completing a three-year course of study culminating in a bachelors degree will be considered eligible to be evaluated for graduate study.
