Reunion 2003
During the Alumni Awards Brunch on July 12, President Tony Collins expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to lead Clarkson and praised the University's alumni for their positive contributions in the world.

Alumni Awards - Golden Knights and Woodstock Winners
Clarkson presents the Golden Knight Award, its most prestigious alumni honor, to graduates in Reunion-year classes who have distinguished themselves through service to the University or outstanding career achievement. On Saturday, July 12, 2003, five winners were honored.

The Clarkson School Celebrates a Quarter Century
During Clarkson's July Reunion Weekend, The Clarkson School celebrated its 25 years of operation with a reunion of its alumni. When The School welcomed its first students in the fall of 1978, a unique venture in American higher education was inaugurated.

When U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton visited St. Lawrence County in August to launch an e-commerce initiative, she applauded teams of Clarkson faculty and students who have been helping local businesses sell products in the global Internet marketplace.


Center for Air Resources Engineering and Science (CARES)

One year after its creation, CARES has established itself as a major center for air quality research, attracting significant financial support, acquiring state-of-the-art instruments and assembling an international team of top-notch scientists and researchers.


Commencement 2003
More than 700 graduates received bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at Commencement on May 11, joining another 169 recognized at the end of the fall semester last December. Close to 4,500 parents, relatives and friends attended the May ceremony. The weekend was also marked by the commissioning of United States Army and Air Force ROTC officers.


"A New Knight Is Upon Us"
During Reunion Weekend in July, the Clarkson Athletics Department unveiled six new logo marks, including a new Golden Knight, to help unify and revitalize the image of the University's athletic teams.
